John joined Yorktown in 2019 and over the past 25 years has held various roles in investment research and portfolio management in energy and natural resources.

John currently serves as a director of several Yorktown portfolio companies including Zydeco Holdings, Oxbow Crush, M6 Midstream, Elk Mesa Energy, Saddle Butte Pipeline, Carbon Energy Corporation, Catalyze Holdings, Eagle Environmental, New England Hydropower and Solar Proponent. He previously served as lead independent director of NYSE-listed LR Energy and a director of NYSE-listed Encore Acquisition Company.

John graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University with a BA and majors in economics and government. He is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder.
